ESL Outrages

A few years ago I wrote a series of columns for the MATSOL Currents, the Massachusetts TESOL affiliate's newsletter. It was started by Karl Smith and it was called ESL Outrages. A lot of people liked it. A lot of others (mostly administrators at ESL programs) did not.

I got a nasty e-mail or two, but mostly people complained to my editors, Suzanne Kuntz, Ron Clark, and Tom Smith. I thank them for dealing with it all.

Here are a couple of columns that got a lot of reaction (and that still seem somewhat relevant now).

What I wish someone had told me - Advice to someone considering becoming an ESL teacher.
