Adrienne
Hawkins
received her BA from Arizona State University and her MFA from Connecticut
College. Adrienne has been artistic director of Impulse Dance for
27 years and has taught at the American Dance Festivaland extensively
in Japan and Europe. She is an award-winning concert choreographer
who has also choreographed rock musicals and videos.
Her
Beginning Jazz class is geared toward students with little to no dance
experience. Placement and center are stressed, shifts of weight and
rhythms are emphasized. The Intermediate Jazz class focus on centering,
placement, body alignment and the use of power in the body. Adrienne's
Hip Hop classes are high-energy and teach popular moves of today through
the technique of jazz.
