“Structure from STRUCTURE”
I am broadly interested in the comparative biogeography and phylogeography of shallow-water marine animals.  Specifically, I am interested in ancient and contemporary ecological processes that have contributed to the formation of marine species and to the spatial distribution of genetic diversity within species.  My research takes a synergistic interdisciplinary approach to understanding these patterns and processes by incorporating tools from population genetics, spatial ecology, and physical oceanography.

Project 1. Neutral genetic variation and adaptive clines along a marine environmental gradient

Project 2. Evolutionary forces maintaining population genetic structure in the Coral Triangle

Project 3.  Particle-based models of oceanic larval transport across West Papua, Indonesia
