Purpleheart (Amaranth) night stands. Purpleheart is one of the densest woods and certainly a hard one to work with. The strength and weight of the wood permits the narrow legs, which are fluted and edged with a bead in a variation on a Federal theme. The drawers are also edged with a bead and fitted flush so as not to compete with the detail of the legs, but rather to continue their design.  More tables
