The first thing that I’d like you to do is to write a brief introduction of yourself, just as a group of people assembled for the first time for a nature walk would introduce themselves. Where do you come from? Why did you decide to join the group? What kinds of writing do you like to read? What kinds of writing do you like to write? Do you take a lot of photographs? Do you like to draw or paint? Do you have a personal website? Do you usually keep a diary or journal? Do you write letters, postcards, or e-mail to your friends and relatives?
Save your self-introduction into our class folder. In a little while you will be able to read each other’s self-introductions. As you read the self-introductions, make sure that you know which person wrote which introduction. We’ll put a class photo up on our class website soon.
