The BU-TIMS
Facility comprises a fully equipped clean-room suitable for ultra-low
blank applications, a State of Art Thermo Finnigan Triton thermal ionization
mass spectrometer, and a New Wave MicroMill. Preparation of a wide range
of geological, oceanographic and environmental samples prior to isotopic
anlysis can also be accommodated in the laboratory suite within the Department
of Earth Sciences. For further information browse through the catergories
on the left.
The clean lab facilities reopened in July 2009 following
a major expansion and refit. The new space has expanded our ability to
serve the needs of a wide variety of geochemical procedures requiring
ultra-low blank and includes seven class 100 cubbies for individual users.
