our mission

Boston University’s International Students Consortium (ISC) is a student-run organization that strives to unite Boston University's diverse community. We acheive this through sponsoring intellecutal, cultural, and humanitarian events. Our club embraces both domestic and international students and provides them with opportunities to share, learn, and appreciate our student body's diverse cultural backgrounds. We believe in bringing together the myriad of ethnicities present in Boston University and helping international students adjust to their new environment.

how do we achieve our mission?

Our consortium accomplishes these goals by collaborating with the cultural groups on campus and holding events such as monthly dinners at different ethnic restaurants, the BU World Cup, cultural conferences, and foreign film nights. In addition, we provide members with information about cultural events held in Boston, or by other Boston University organizations.

how big are we?

Boston University boasts the second largest International student body out of all college campuses in the country. The majority are full-time undergraduate students.BU has students from Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and Australia not to mention the islanders, who come from Haiti, the Philippines and Tonga, to name a few.

who are we?

The officers of ISC themselves are excellent representatives of BU’s global student body; they come from Turkey, Singapore, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Philippines, Portugal, China and the United States.
