Lab Polices and Attendance
á
Attendance
is absolutely mandatory, and will be taken before every laboratory period. Each student may have ONE excused
absence. Due to the nature of the lab, make ups may or may not be possible and
will always be at the discretion of the TF. Any conflicts with the dates below,
especially regarding lab exams should be brought to the TFŐs attention during
the first week of the lab. Unexcused
absences or poor participation may result in a deduction of the studentŐs grade
at the instructorŐs discretion.
Dress
á
Gloves
must be worn at all times and hands washed before and after lab exercises.
á
Lab
coats are optional, but strongly suggested. Cheap paper lab coats are available
at the bookstore.
á
No
open toed shoes, or shorts.
á
Long
hair must be tied back.
Other
á
No
food or drinks will be tolerated. This includes gum, coffee, and water bottles.
á
Workspaces
must be cleaned thoroughly with disinfectant (70% EtOH) before and after each
lab session.
á
Any
injuries no matter how minor should be reported to the TF immediately and any
pre-existing health conditions should be reported to the TF where
pertinent.
á
Lab
notebooks are required. Colored pencils are strongly recommended.
á
Some
labs may require coming in outside of scheduled lab time.
