GMS students discuss their academic experiences with Dean Karen Antman over breakfast. (October 7th)

Over the past couple of weeks, Dean Karen Antman has been meeting with small groups of GMS students over breakfast to discuss student issues.  In these meetings, students have raised important issues including bettering our health care and increasing GMS recognition within the medical school. One of the student participants, Courtney Sill said, "It is of great importance for GMS students to be an integral part of the medical campus and these opportunities to have breakfast with the Dean are the perfect venue to share our concerns. I am hopeful that our GMS student community will continue to take advantage of this excellent opportunity for higher visibility and recognition within the BU medical campus."  Dean Antman revealed news of upcoming (Fall 2008) improvements to student health care as well as very preliminary plans for an Education Center on the medical campus in the current D-lot parking area (just outside the windows of Chequers' dining room) that is planned to include a 500 seat auditorium. GMS students can sign up for breakfasts by contacting Susan Wilcox (wilcox@bu.edu).
