Mission StatementThe Student Election Commission (SEC) is an autonomous commission of students assembled to organize and oversee the process of Student Union and College Government elections. The commission accepts petitions from students wishing to run for office, maintains guidelines surrounding candidatesŐ campaign processes, penalizes infractions against the Elections Code and university policy, promotes studentsŐ civil responsibility, and publishes the results of the election. MeetingsThe Student Elections Commission meets weekly on Thursdays at 6:00 pm. Meetings are held in CAS.
Multiple meetings will be held during the weeks of campaigning and voting to handle issues as they arise. Because these meetings will be called as required based on the number of items for review by the commission, their times and locations are subject to change. Notice will be given to involved parties and information will be posted on this website.
