PROGRAM FRAMEWORK
The Exposure Initiative program consists of weekly workshops and an annual gallery open to the students, their parents and the Boston community.
Each workshop has a theme, such as portraits, favorite places, or natural frames. Students are divided into 3:1 student to mentor groups, which allow mentors to familiarize themselves with the students' work and give them personalized feedback.
After each lesson, students must complete a photography assignment using cameras provided by Exposure Initiative. The students' best work is displayed in online portfolios and the best photographs of each semester are displayed in the year-end gallery. The students get to keep all of their photographs, which the mentors use for constructive criticism.

SCHOOLS
Community Transition School is a collaborative effort between the Department of Youth Services (DYS) and the Boston Public Schools (BPS) to serve DYS committed youth as they transition back into the school system. Community Transition School is a short-term program with a mission to provide a challenging academic environment, within a supportive community, that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth for students. Through portfolio development, student-focused instruction, and the support of external partners, CTS empowers students to think critically and creatively and prepares them for future success in the classroom, workplace, and community.
Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is the oldest school of its kind and was founded in 1869. Horace Mann is a school dedicated to high standards of education and well-rounded students. The school offers a mulitiude of programs from early childhood education through highschool. We work with two different groups of students in Karyn Brotman's art classes.
Other schools where we have worked in the past include McKinley Middle School, Summerbridge Cambridge After School Program, Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center, and Mission Grammar School.
