Ms. DiGrande founded and continues to coordinate a clinical fluency interest group for clinicians in the region that have received fluency specialization recognition through the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association. The purpose of the group is to promote clinical expertise and provide peer support. It is a forum in which to meet with peers to discuss issues related to stuttering and stuttering treatment.
Ms. DiGrande has also been named as a fluency consultant and clinician in two
National Institute for Health grant proposals involving research in the area
of stuttering. One study focuses on treatment and the other on the etiology
of stuttering.
