I enjoy teaching and disseminating knowledge. Teaching is an important part of my Ph. D. training by working as a teaching assistant for 5 years. My preparation includes trainings in communication skills and practices in both undergraduate and graduate courses covering all aspects from grading homework to classroom teaching. The courses cover signal processing/time series, Bayesian statistics, probability and random process, differential equations, linear algebra, advanced detection and estimation theory and others. The classroom size varied from > 10 to > 100. I also taught some graduate students when I worked as a postdoc at Duke University and now at Boston University.

Below are some of my past teaching duties as a teaching assistant during my Ph.D. study, and the courses include

-Detection and Estimation Theory

Course Description: Methods of detection and estimation theory. Statistical description of signals and representation in time, spatial and frequency domains; Baysian methods, including Wiener, Kalman and MAP filters; performance measures; applications to both continuous and discrete systems.

My duties include project classroom presentation and discussion, providing answer sheets for homework and projects, holding office hours, and grading homework & project assignments and exams.

- Digital Signal Processing

Course Description: Time series in both time and frequencie domains. Digital processing of continous signals. Waveshape and spectrum estimation. Digital filtering and applications in one dimensional, two-dimensional data and signal processing.

My duties include providing answer sheets for homework and projects, holding office hours, and grading homework & project assignments and exams.

- Introduction to Signal Processing/Time Series

Course Description: Discrete-Time Signals and Systems, Z-Transform, Frequency Analysis of Signals and Systems, Fourier series, and Fourier and Laplace transformations for discrete time and continuous time signals, Digital Filter Design. Continous to discrete signal Conversion, Discrete Fourier Transform.

My duties include some classroom teaching, providing answer sheets for homework and projects, holding office hours, and grading homework & project assignments and exams.

- Advanced Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists I

Course Description: Ordinary differential equations and Green's functions; partial differential equations and separation of variables; special functions, Fourier series

My duties include providing answer sheets for homework, and grading homework and exams.

- Advanced Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists II

Course Description: Determinants and matrices; line and surface integrals, integral theorems; complex integrals and residues; distribution functions of probability.

My duties include providing answer sheets for homework, and grading homework and exams.
