Pianist: Molly Wood

Molly Wood is a second year Master of Music student in collaborative piano at Boston University,
studying under Ms. Shiela Kibbe. This is also her second year of accompanying the BU Choral Society,
and she looks forward to another fun music-making year!

Along with her course load, she is actively involved in rehearsing, coaching, and performing with vocalists, instrumentalists, and chamber groups. During the past year, she participated in the New Music Ensemble
at BU. In addition, she has played rehearsals and coached for several different musical organizations,
including OperaHub and the Richard Crittenden Vocal Workshop in Boston.

Molly earned her undergraduate degree in 2006 from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, with a
Bachelor of Music in piano performance. While at Butler, she was an active pianist in the University Choir,
Lyric Theatre, New Music Ensemble, and Glee Clubs.  She was also an accompanist for the Indianapolis Children's Choir and a piano/theory teacher in the Butler Community Arts School. 

Pianists she has studied with include Ms. Shiela Kibbe, Robert Merfield, Dr. Kate Boyd, Andrew Russo,
and Panayis Lyras. She has coached with vocalists under the direction of Martin Katz, Rudolf Jansen,
and Marvin Hamlisch.
