We are a student-run
organization, coordinated by an elected board of
chorus members. The e-board is responsible for fundraising, choosing
and hiring the ensemble's directors, booking our spaces, maintaining
our library and website, and a wide variety of other task.
OUR MISSION: As a student run group, our purpose is to represent the
independent choral abilities of Boston University both on and off
campus. We seek to provide a comfortable, non-competitive atmosphere
for those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their
interest in singing. The range of music we perform includes (but is not
limited to) classical, jazz, Broadway, and contemporary work. We strive
to promote unity within the Chorus and bring concerts to the University
and surrounding areas.
The Boston University Choral Society has existed in its present form
for well over ten years. We are the only mixed ensemble at BU that does
not require a formal audition for participation. We strive to grow and
improve with every year.
