Tutoring Info
The largest contribution the student members of Chemia make towards the BU community is through tutoring. Chemistry and Biochemistry alike are subjects that students often struggle with throughout their college careers.
Chemia's tutoring program is currently available to students in any General Chemistry class at BU. Tutoring is made available for the aforementioned students on Wednesdays from 6-8 PM and Thursdays from 6-8 PM. The rooms are to be announced. Tutoring will start the first week of February.
If you need help you can show up on those dates and times and a tutor will be there willing to assist you. Rest assured that if our dedicated tutors
aren't able to answer your questions, then they will certainly be able to guide you to someone that can. Please note: tutoring sessions are meant to aid a student to think efficiently and correctly about chemistry; as such, the tutors will not be available simply
to answer homework questions and problem sets. The tutors will not have any answer keys to any such homeworks, problem sets, or past exams. *Tutors will be available beginning the first full week of Februrary 2008.*
If you are interested in becoming a tutor, please visit the contacts page and send an e-mail to one of the Chemia board members! We need all the tutors we can get.
Already a tutor? A calendar of tutoring schedule is below - email us at chemia@bu.edu to sign up for a time slot. We ask our tutors to give us 4 hours of their time a month. The calendar will be updated as often as possible!
