1) Is tumbling required to make the BU Cheer Team?

No, tumbling is not required but is highly encouraged. Applicants must demonstrate willingness and potential to obtain tumbling skills.

2) Can male cheerleaders tryout?

ABSOLUTELY! Tryouts are open to both male and female applicants.

3) Are scholarships available?

No, the BU Cheer Team is a club sport and does not receive funding for scholarships.

4) What if I can't make tryouts?

Please email cheerbu@bu.edu. Video tryouts are accepted on a case-to-case basis.

5) How many members are chosen for the team?

The team can have as many as 25 members each season depending on the number of qualified applicants.

6) Is there a competition team and a game squad?

The BU Cheer Team is one team that cheers at games and competes locally and nationally.
