His line of work has allowed him to travel extensively and to live in many countries that have the worst cases of human trafficking in the world today. Come listen to him share his experiences and provide insight into the issue from a professional standpoint.

Feona, from the Emancipation Network will be screening a video and speaking more on the Emancipation Network's model of economic empowerment in countries where human trafficking is a major problem. Also, she will be selling handicrafts made from shelters that house former trafficking victims and women at high risk of being trafficked. After the Awareness Party, we will be having a delicious dinner cooked by the eboard. This event is open to the public, so bring a friend!! We'd love to meet yoU!

Beatrice Fernando is a former trafficking victim who was tricked out of Sri Lanka and subsequently suffered three years of forced labor in Lebanon. Come listen to her speak about her life in depth, how she ultimately escaped her situation, and what we can do, as the general public, to combat slavery.
