LA Media Trek - March 10th-18th, 2007 Belle Epoque - March 2nd, 2007 "How concerts are planned, promoted and produced" Celebrate Halloween with the Boston University Media and Entertainment Club The first BUMEC general meeting will be on Wednesday, September 26th at 6:30 pm in the College of Communication Building, Room 101 (main lecture hall). Powerpoint Presentation from the 1st General Meeting We met with the following executives - Larry Angrisani - Miramax Belle Epoque - Silent Auction and Fashion Show This event was a collaborative effort between the BU Media & Entertainment Club and Fashion & Retail Association. This event took place on Friday, March 2nd in the Photonics Building Colloquium Room (Room 906). There was a reception beginning at 7pm. The Fashion Show, which primarily showcase the work of student designers, began at approximately 8pm. The Silent Auction, which includes some amazing items, followed. A portion of all proceeds collected from this event was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation
On Friday, October 27th, members of the Media and Entertainment Club visited WBZ-TV (CBS-4 Boston). We were given an insider's perspective of the television industry by Ms. Andrea Naper, the intern coordinator. Ms. Naper also provided guidance and suggestions about internships in the entertainment industry. All those in attendance enjoyed the event and also learned a lot.
