Alpha Omega Beta Epsilon Chapter

The Alpha Omega Beta Epsilon Chapter at Boston University is more than just a student organization - It is a professional dental fraternity. Alpha Omega is the oldest international dental organization with members in over 125 student and alumni chapters worldwide. Founded on the principles of professionalism, fraternalism, and Judaism, the fraternity’s primary objective is to promote the profession of dentistry, while fostering high standards of scholarship, leadership, and character. Although Judaism is one of the founding principles of AO, it is a nonsectarian organization and many of its members are not Jewish.

Alpha Omega organizes many events throughout the year to benefit its members including socials, “Lunch N Learns”, fundraisers, SLC help sessions, and volunteering. Every year, AO organizes a highly anticipated casino trip to either Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. Being an affiliated student organization of Boston University, AO is active in participating in intramural sports at the undergraduate campus. As students enter the SLC and begin summative examinations upperclassmen provide insightful tips to help students improve their techniques during help sessions. AO also offers an externship program where students can travel to various cities and countries including Miami, San Francisco, Israel, Paris, and London to name a few.

The Boston alumni chapter actively participates with the local student chapters by hosting numerous events. Enjoy a free meal at one of Boston’s prime restaurants while learning about the latest technology and products available in dentistry at a study club event. Through Alpha Omega students have gained alumni mentors where they observed alumni in practice, established APEX externship sites, and even joined an alumni family during holidays.

The members of Alpha Omega congratulate and welcome you to Boston University. Come out to the Alpha Omega rush this fall and see what AO can do for you.
