What is BUFSS?
BUFSS is a biomedical forensic science group created by students from the M.S. program at Boston University. The goals of the society include raising money to assist in travel to national forensic science conferences, hosting guest lectures from respected professionals in the forensic science field, and to promote understanding and interest in biomedical forensic science throughout the Boston University community.
BUFSS meets monthly on Thursdays from 4-5pm. See events to see the date and where the meeting will be held.
BUFSS Officer Elections, November 10
New officer elections will take place at the next BUFSS meeting Tuesday, November 10th from 4-5pm. Positions available are for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
If you are interested in running for one of these positions please email bufss@bu.edu by November 1st.
BUFSS will be attending NEAFS
NEAFS will be held in Long Branch, New Jersey from November 4th-7th. Scientific sessions on criminalistics, toxicology, biology, drug chemistry and interesting forensic cases will be held. A students forum will be held on Thursday, November 5th. Exhibits and poster sessions will also be present. This is a great educational experience for students entering the field and is a great way to network with professionals working in the field.

The NEAFS registration deadline is October 8th. The cost is $115 for non-student members.
BUFSS Kickball Social, October 24
Join BUFSS for a classic game of kickball in Boston Common on Saturday, October 24th at 2pm.
BUFSS will provide pizza and drinks.
