THE BOSTON UNIVERSITY CHINA CARE FUND

We are an independent, student run club at Boston University, and a recognized China Care Club under the China Care Foundation, Inc. Founded in February 2005 by a group of students with a drive to help the less fortunate children of China, Boston University's China Care Fund (BUCCF) continues today through that same determination of our members.  BUCCF initially concentrated on raising funds and collecting aid materials to provide for the most primary needs of education for poverty-stricken children in remote areas of China. In December 2007, we were contacted by the China Care Foundation and made a crucial decision that we believed best for our organization. In shifting our focus to support special-need orphans in China, we hoped to address one of the most critical issues China faces today, and in working with an established organization such as China Care, we are now able to utilize its resources and confirm that each dollar donated has a direct impact on a child in China.

Through various fundraisers, including our annual HOPE show, BUCCF hopes to raise the money necessary for the essential care and medical needs of orphans to better their chances of being adopted. In addition to these financial matters, BUCCF works to educate the Boston community about the situation for orphans in China and to collect hard-to-find medical supplies for the China Care staff in China. BUCCF has also established a relationship with the Kwong Kow Chinese school in Boston's Chinatown in order to foster relationships with the local community of Chinese immigrant children.

BUCCF would like to thank all of its members and supporters in believing in the China Care cause. To learn more about the China Care Foundation, please visit the link below:
