Last summer, three BU students went to Uganda for a month with a group of college students connected by Intervaristy Christian Fellowship. While there, they worked with several organizations: Come Let's Dance in the south and ChildVoice International in the north. In the south, they experienced the slums, and in the north they met child soldiers who are now teen mothers.
The people they met and the stories they heard changed their lives and their outlooks. Now, they would like to share with BU what they saw.
The event will take place in the GSU Metcalf Hall (2nd floor of the GSU) on March 24th, 2009:
Noon-6PM:
INjustice is our chance to hear the stories of some of the people they met in Uganda. Walk though the pictures and life histories of these people, and interact with the pain and suffering that they face on a daily basis. Also, learn more about what is being done to stop these tragedies and how you can be involved.
7PM:
Where is God in all this suffering? Come back in the evening for a talk from the girls who were in Uganda. Here their first hand accounts of what they saw and what they hope to see happen. |
