The Order of Things

Written by Melinda Lopez, Directed by Ellen Gordon.

This play speaks to exile, through the experience of a family split apart- the main character, her mother, father, and daughter in Miami, and her sister in Cuba. The father is a mathematician, specializing in chaos theory and fractals, and the relationship between fractals, chaos theory, and the life of the family separated from each other and their homeland by exile is a central theme in the play.

The play bounces back and forth between Cuba and Miami.
