Pitching Guidelines
Got
an interesting vision for a great play? Shakespeare Society wants to
hear your pitch! If you've got an idea for a Shakespearean,
Elizabethan, or Jacobean drama, here's what you'll need to know:
To be eligible to direct a main stage BUSS production prospective directors must have attended at least three BUSS meetings or related events. Though it's not necessary, it's helpful to have stage managed for other BUSS shows or to have directed a piece for our One Acts.
To propose a play, please send in a detailed pitch to bard@bu.edu by midnight before the meeting to allow the e-board some time to look it over. In the pitch, you should include your vision for the show, a brief synopsis, and brief budget and cast breakdowns.
