Aural Fixation

history

In the fall of 1997, Kim Baker (C/O ‘99) founded Aural Fixation as a new opportunity for females to sing a cappella at Boston University. Debuting “Manic Monday” at the 1999 Homecoming Extravaganza, Aural Fixation has since established itself on the BU a cappella scene.

In addition to performing concerts each semester (past concerts have included “Auralpalooza,” “AF’s Big Fun Concert,” and “Rock Stars”), Aural Fixation has also performed for fundraisers for groups including Habitat for Humanity and Breast Cancer Awareness, and outside groups such as the BU Medical Center and the Falls Assisted Living Home.

Aural Fixation has released one CD, “21 Euston Street,” in the spring of 1999, and released their sophomore CD, “Freudian Slip” in April 2002.

Most recently, we've put out ELLIPSIS... in 2005. It is brand spanking new and chock full of a cappella love. See our downloadable order form for purchasing info! Come on, Mom!
