Brian Vesci enters his second
year as an athletic trainer on the Boston University sports
medicine staff. Vesci will work primarily with the men's soccer
and men's and women's track and field squads at BU.
Vesci also currently serves
as a lab instructor for Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation
Sciences and is an approved clinical instructor for the undergraduate
athletic training program, supervising and mentoring athletic
training students.
Vesci graduated from Duquesne
in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training
and he earned his master's degree in athletic training from
the University of North Carolina in December 2006.
Before joining the BU staff,
Vesci spent two years at Chapel Hill working the Tar Heels'
men's soccer team in addition to the men's and women's tennis
teams. As an undergraduate, Vesci worked in various collegiate,
high school and clinical settings, including the 2004 Division
I-AA Mid-Major National Champion Duquesne football team.
In 2004, Vesci earned advanced
specialization as a performance enhancement specialist through
the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
A native of Pittsburgh,
Pa., Vesci is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers'
Association and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Allied
Health.
