Professional Development
While Boston University gives undergraduate an unparallel education in premedical sciences, we believe shadowing physicians in an inseperable part of its members' premedical education. Thankfully, Boston does not lack in opportunities in this area. AED members have successfully shadowed neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists, and emergency physicians throughtout the school year and during summer break. It should be noted that while shadowing does not give academic credit, it often opens doors to research opprotunities, leadership opportunities, and letters of recommendations.
