Come join the AED family!

We are a group of individuals passionate about health and dedicated to making an impact in our various fields.  Our members are looked upon as leaders among pre-health students, and we seek like-minded students to join us in providing invaluable services and mentorship to the pre-health population here at Boston University.

Boston University AED is the Region V Massachusetts Gamma Chapter of the national Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-health honor society.  As such, there is a standard of excellence expected of our members. We seek students who show individual commitment to academics and extracurricular activities, and who are willing to participate in our service to the community.  Only current sophomores, juniors, and seniors are invited to apply.  An overall and science GPA of 3.2 is required.

Application phase:
Applications are to be submitted to the Pre-professional Advising Office at Room B-2 of 725 Commonwealth Avenue, by noon on Monday, October 19th, 2009.  The executive board will review all applications and contact potential inductees for an interview.  Following a successful interview and contingent upon maintaining a 3.2 GPA after the Fall 2009 semester, new AED members will be on a probationary period for the Spring 2010 semester.

Probation phase:
Full induction into Alpha Epsilon Delta is contingent upon participation in all mandatory events and at least one social event.  This period allows us to assess the dedication of our members to the honor society and to the larger community that we serve.  Induction will occur at the end of the Spring 2010 semester.

Feel free to contact us (aed@bu.edu) with any questions.
