About AED![]() About AED Alpha Epsilon Delta at Boston University is a chapter of the only national pre-health honor society. It was founded in 1926 at the University of Alabama and is currently one of the 57 members of the Association of College Honor Societies. Alpha Epsilon Delta supports collegiate chapters in identifying pre-health students of excellence and imposing an obligation of continuing achievement upon such students. Service to the Community At its core, Alpha Epsilon Delta is also a service organization. Each semester, we engage in at least one meaningful community service event in order to foster a sense of continued responsibility towards the wider society around us. Professional Development for Our Members AED is also committed to enhancing the professional capacity of our members. We invite motivational speakers to encourage our members in their chosen career paths and to guide us towards greater success. We also engage in other pre-health events around campus, provide graduate school admissions exam (MCAT, DAT, VCAT, GRE) reviews, tutoring and peer-advising, mentoring, and access to various resources. This aims to provide opportunities for the intellectual development and stimulation of individual members. One Great Family AED members are individuals of great capability and potential. We seek to provide numerous opportunities for everyone to mix and make great contacts for the present and future. AED members can offer each other support in many ways such in class selection, graduate school admissions exams, and through admissions processes. Various social events are organized each semester to maximize a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere where friendships can be built. In Conclusion The primary objective of AED is the pursuit of excellence. We encourage high-caliber pre-health scholarship and promote the establishment of contact between pre-health students, educators, and professionals. Alpha Epsilon Delta serves to enhance the integrity of the future health care profession. | |||
