Information
Join
us in the lab for a Cognitive Psychology research study! The Center
for Translational Cognitive Neuroscience has many studies running
at any given time, and our researchers are always devising new
and interesting ways to investigate this intriguing field.
Here
are some examples of past research studies:
- ERP studies-
Many of our studies involve using a special type of EEG (electroencephalogram)
to measure the electrical activity on the scalp related to brain
activity. This procedure involves wearing a special cap (which
is like a swim cap), applying a special gel through holes in
the cap, and viewing a series of items (either pictures or words)
on a computer screen, and then being asked questions about them.
These studies compensate at $25/hour.
- Behavioral
studies- We also have many non-EEG studies available for participants.
These studies are administered on a laptop computer, and can
be run in your home. No knowledge of computers is necessary.
Current studies involve viewing pictures and words on the computer
and then being asked questions about them. These studies compensate
at $10/hour.
- Intervention Studies
Our research
studies require participants of all types. If you are between the
ages of 18 and 85, with or without a memory problem, please contact
us at ctcnbrainlab@gmail.com for
information on participating in a study at the Center for Translational
Cognitive Neuroscience.
