About JoanJoan Salge Blake is Clinical Associate Professor at Boston University and an author of Nutrition & You (2012), Nutrition & You: Core Concepts to Good Health (2010), Nutrition: From Science to You (2009), and Eat Right The E.A.S.Y. Way (1991). Joan is member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dietetic Association (MDA). She was previously named MDA's "Young Dietitian of the Year" and is a MDA board member. She was awarded the 2001 Whitney Powers Excellence in Teaching Award from BU, the 2007 Outstanding Dietetic Educator from the American Dietetic Association, and the 2009 Outstanding Dietitian by MDA. She is currently an ADA National Media Spokesperson. Joan Salge Blake has appeared on CBS-The Early Show, CNN, Pure Oxygen, NBC News ( Boston ), Fox TV ( Boston ), CBS News ( New York and Boston ), Chronicle, Doctors On Call, NiteBeat and other television and radio talk shows. Her nutrition segments appear regularly on Fox TV Boston. Her "Ask Joan" nutrition columns have appeared on Oxygen.com. Forbes Magazine's "Best Of The Web 2001" issue named Joan's nutrition column as one of the best features in the Diet and Nutrition category. Her enthusiastic attitude towards nutritious eating has motivated millions of people to use the internet as a resource for healthy living.
